Meet the Teacher
Mrs. Roth is excited to be starting her 9th year as a second grade teacher at Sunrise.
Mrs. Roth graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison about 10 years ago. As a student, she loved going to football and hockey games! She enjoys cheering for the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers.
In the summer of 2015 Mrs. Roth married Mr. Roth. That's when she stopped being Miss Voight and started being Mrs. Roth!
In November of 2015 Mrs. Roth and Mr. Roth became puppy parents to a sweet dog named Gimli. Gimli turns 4 in September, and he's a perfect mix between a Golden Retriever and a Labrador Retriever. He loves destroying toys and plants. His favorite treats include ice cubes, rocks, and anything Pennie throws to the ground.
In November of 2016 Mrs. Roth and Mr. Roth became people parents to Pennie (her real name is Penelope). In May of 2019 Pennie became a big sister when her brother Gavin was born. Mrs. Roth absolutely loves playing with her son and daughter, watching them get bigger, and seeing all the new things they learn about the world around them.
Mrs. Roth also loves being an aunt. She spends a lot of time with her niece (Lillie, 6) and nephews (Owen, and Josh, 7). Pennie also has cousins in Sheboygan (5 boy cousins and 4 girl cousins).
Three years ago Mrs. Roth started curling. She plays in a Monday night mixed league at the Green Bay curling club. Her position is Lead.
If you can't tell, Mrs. Roth LOVES Shrek! She cannot choose a favorite Shrek movie because she loves them all so much. No matter how many times she watches Shrek movies, she always finds something new to laugh at.
In fact, Mrs. Roth loves all things that make her laugh. Her favorite children's books are silly ones. This is why she also loves Skippyjonjones so much!
